Terms of Service
The rules for using KhmerDate — what we promise to you, and what we ask in return.
Effective: 4 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and KhmerDate Co., Ltd. (“KhmerDate”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of khmerdate.com and any of our mobile applications (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
To use KhmerDate you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under the laws of Cambodia or your country of residence.
- Never have been convicted of a violent crime or a sexual offence.
- Hold only one account at a time — duplicate or shared accounts are not allowed.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile. Impersonating someone else or posting false information is not allowed.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us immediately at support@khmerdate.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Community guidelines — what is not allowed
To keep KhmerDate safe and respectful, you agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Create fake profiles, impersonate others, or misrepresent your age or identity.
- Harass, threaten, bully, or post hateful, discriminatory, or violent content.
- Post nudity, sexually explicit material, or any content that is illegal where you or the recipient lives.
- Engage in or solicit prostitution, escorting, human trafficking, or any commercial sexual activity.
- Involve, target, or sexualise anyone under 18 in any way.
- Scam, defraud, or ask other members for money, gifts, banking details, or financial help.
- Send spam, advertising, chain messages, or promote other products or services.
- Scrape, copy, or harvest other members' data, or access the Service with bots or automated tools.
- Distribute malware, attempt to breach our security, or interfere with the Service.
4. Content you post
You keep ownership of the photos, videos, text, and other content you post. By posting it, you grant KhmerDate a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and share that content with other members solely to operate and improve the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are solely responsible for the content you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may review, remove, or restrict any content that we believe violates these Terms, without prior notice.
5. Verification and safety
We use profile verification and other measures to reduce fake accounts, but we cannot confirm the identity, intentions, or background of every member, and we do not conduct criminal-background checks. You interact with other members at your own risk.
Please date safely:
- Never send money or financial information to anyone you meet on the Service.
- Meet in public places the first few times and tell a friend where you are going.
- Report any suspicious, abusive, or unsafe behaviour to safety@khmerdate.com.
6. Paid subscriptions and purchases
- Some features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Prices and what is included are shown before you pay.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel any time from your account settings.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started. Statutory rights to a refund or cooling-off period are not affected.
- We may change prices or plan features; we will give you reasonable notice before changes affect you.
7. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Account → Settings. We may suspend or permanently terminate your account if you breach these Terms, put other members at risk, or use the Service unlawfully. Where appropriate and lawful, we will let you know the reason. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licences already granted, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that you will find a match, that other members are who they claim to be, or that the Service will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KhmerDate is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other members whether online or offline. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold KhmerDate harmless from any claims, losses, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or the rights of another person.
11. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to the Terms, we will notify you by email or through an in-app notice before they take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
